Local SEO

If you’re a local business that needs help ranking on Google in either the 3-pack or organically, this is where Local SEO fits in.  When it comes to ranking for your business, the work that needs to be done differs from business to business and industry to industry. The approach we take to SEO always starts with a consultation and audit that allows us to see exactly what needs to be improved and what is already working really well.

If you’re a local brick-and-mortar business, Your Business Profile on Google, often referred to as Google My Business (GMB) is one of your company’s most important digital assets. While optimized profiles don’t guarantee organic ranking position, The Armory can help you optimize your profile to increase opportunity for calls, website visits, and direction requests directly from your business profile on Google.

Analyze

After a consultation and audit, whether we work together or not, let us give you our Google My Business task list. The list is loaded with helpful suggestions on how to best complete your Business Profile. A few take-away tips to try out…
  1. Select the best primary category for your business (not sure, check out your competitors – the primary category is the one listed). But don’t stop there, if appropriate add more. Google allows up to 10 and they are always modifying available categories.
  2. Have a webpage dedicated to each category listed in your profile. Its a perfect marriage of local SEO and good old on-site SEO.
  3. Reviews Reviews Reviews. As you solve peoples problems and deliver smiles, ask for a review. Something we’ve learned; asking for “feedback” instead of a “review” is a softer ask. You can give your client a link to your Google Review page or we can help with review management and slow-drip the requests to client list you provide.
  4. Take those FAQ’s on your website on which you spent time and turn them into Q&A’s on your Google Business Profile (that’s what Google calls them).
  5. There are more but the underlying take-away is to fill in as much information in your  Business Profile on Google as possible.

Google 360 Virtual Tour

One of the strongest features of creating your Google My Business Profile is capturing Street View 360 “inside” 360 Virtual Tour of your business. This facet of Local SEO will set it apart from your competitors and give your prospective clients an “inside” peak and experience into your business before having to drive a mile.
